The Female Teacher Who Fights Back - Chapter 24
Chapter 24 Entering the Campus 2
“Something involving physical strength…” Director Liu rested her chin on one hand, her brow furrowed deeply enough to crush a fly. To be honest, she really couldn’t see how much strength this slender Miss Wu before her could possibly possess.
“Director, Teacher Chen, who was in charge of physical education, was recently hospitalized with serious injuries after being beaten by students, and no one has taken over yet. Why not let her try? It would also help lighten the heavy burden on Teacher Li’s shoulders.” A deep, magnetic male voice interjected somewhat overbearingly, offering a practical suggestion.
Hearing this, Wu Lang instinctively looked toward the source of the voice and unexpectedly met a pair of eyes as deep as obsidian. The man then rose from his seat, approached her, and introduced himself: “Hello, my name is Luo Ditian, and I am currently the Chinese Language and Literature teacher for the sophomores.”
He possessed extraordinarily handsome features, with a pair of gold-rimmed glasses resting on his high bridge, concealing the sharp glint that flashed in his eyes and the dangerous, wicked aura surrounding him.
Luo Ditian’s thin, sexy lips curled into a perfect arc, radiating an aristocratic air of elegance and confidence. It was no wonder schoolgirls flocked to him, keeping him firmly at the top of the Sheng Tian Beauty Rankings.
As it happened, this Sheng Tian Beauty Ranking was a prank started by the graduating senior girls of the previous year. Unexpectedly, the younger students had preserved it as a traditional ritual to this day.
Although a jury of female students conducted a large-scale campus-wide vote every two months, the top four positions on the beauty rankings remained unshakeable.
In truth, the men were equally matched in terms of looks; Luo Ditian took the lead primarily because the other three had personalities that were more or less unusual, whereas Luo Ditian, as a teacher, allowed the girls to admire him without complaint.
However, Wu Lang was neither an unsophisticated country girl nor a young girl prone to senseless infatuation. She didn’t even lift her eyelids, responding with a simple: “Hello.”
“There is an empty seat next to mine; if Miss Wu doesn’t mind, you may choose that spot for your desk.” As soon as Luo Ditian spoke, everyone, including Director Liu, was slightly stunned.
Sensing the change in atmosphere, a bewildered Wu Lang looked in the direction he indicated. A finely crafted desk sat in the best-lit spot near the window. With that desk as the center, there was not a single item belonging to anyone else within a two-meter radius. This abrupt sight made it look like an island on land, or perhaps a private territory belonging exclusively to a superior…
Before Wu Lang could decide how to answer, Director Liu tried to change the subject: “Th-that, Miss Wu, do you possess a teaching license?”
“No.”
“Miss Wu, how about this?” Director Liu, having prepared herself, feigned a couple of coughs and proposed a compromise. “Once you pass the teacher qualification exam in three months, the school will officially hire you. Until then, please serve as a teaching assistant and work with Teacher Li to complete the physical education curriculum.”
She felt that even if Wu Lang were truly capable of being a P.E. teacher, she would never pass the rigorous teacher certification exams. This would protect Sheng Tian Academy’s golden reputation while successfully fulfilling the Chairman’s request—killing two birds with one stone, or rather, achieving two goals at once!
