The Female Teacher Who Fights Back - Chapter 14
Chapter 14: Entering the Campus 3
Although Wu Lang originally only wanted a heavy labor job like sweeping floors or watering flowers, she reluctantly agreed with a single okay due to the other party’s “hospitality”. If Director Liu knew what Wu Lang was thinking, she would likely cough up blood in frustration.
“By the way, according to Sheng Tian’s regulations, a teaching assistant must simultaneously serve as the head teacher for two or more classes to help students solve problems in their studies and lives,” Director Liu added, before murmuring to herself, “It seems the only one left without a head teacher is that headache-inducing Sophomore Class 3…”
“Is there something wrong with that class?”
Director Liu sighed helplessly. “Miss Wu, you don’t understand. Sophomore Class 3 is the elite class with the most talented individuals since the founding of Sheng Tian Academy. Because of this, they are all eccentric and arrogant; some don’t even show up to school”. Wu Lang, who had never attended school, didn’t realize how big a problem she was being given; her bright eyes behind her long bangs showed only confusion.
“Anyway, the issues with Class 3 weren’t built in a day. Go to the sports equipment room and find Teacher Li; he will tell you the schedule and precautions”. Director Liu patted Wu Lang’s shoulder with a look that said, “Good luck and prepare for the worst”.
Luo Ditian chimed in with a smile, “Teacher Wu is new and likely hasn’t toured the campus. I have no classes this afternoon, so how about I show you around?” His offer turned the surrounding expressions from “surprise” to “horror”.
However, Wu Lang shook her head. “Thank you for the offer, but I don’t have the habit of satisfying others’ curiosity, nor am I a spectacle used to kill time.” She left without looking back, leaving Luo Ditian’s friendly smile frozen on his face.
Stopping at the door, Wu Lang turned and said sincerely, “Director Liu, your outfit is the most ‘fitting of your name’ I’ve ever seen. Perhaps you should consider a different job; you might find better prospects there”.
Director Liu, sensing an underlying meaning, asked, “What job?”
“A funeral parlor.”
“Pfft—” Several people with less self-control burst out laughing.
“Wu Lang, you…” Before the red-faced Director Liu could erupt in anger, the culprit had already stepped over the threshold, leaving only a long shadow.
Luo Ditian returned to his desk and leaned by the window, watching that thin but stubborn figure below. His white-knuckled fist gradually relaxed, and a mysterious glint flashed behind his glasses.
“It seems Sheng Tian Academy is more interesting than I imagined!” Luo Ditian whispered. He then pulled out a freshly written resignation letter, tore it to shreds, crumpled it into a ball, and tossed it out the window. The paper ball wobbled through the air and landed perfectly in the trash bin below.
