The Female Teacher Who Fights Back Chapter 33

Chapter 33: Unscrupulous Teacher 4

"Who would ever pay a salary to someone like you?" Fu Wanzi snorted coldly, her eyes brimmed with disdain.

"Rest assured, even if you knelt on the ground crying, shouting, and begging me, I wouldn't accept it. After all, having nightmares at night is a terrible feeling." Ignoring the girl's gnashing teeth, Wu Lang continued: "Also, classmates ought to get along." Although she was not one to meddle, as the head teacher of Sophomore Class 3, she had both the right and duty to prevent situations from worsening.

"Hmph!" Wary of Wu Lang's formidable strength, Fu Wanzi had enough self-awareness to snort coldly, reluctantly leading her remaining accomplices away in a hurry.

Not intending to stir up further trouble, Wu Lang walked over to Qing Mo and asked in bewilderment, "If you are so unwilling, why don't you just state it openly?" If Qing Mo could boldly declare her relationship with Han Tianhan and take an unyielding stand, then no matter how much power Fu Wanzi and the others held, they wouldn't dare be so brazen.

"I... I..." Now that the crisis had passed, Qing Mo breathed a heavy sigh of relief, her tears falling endlessly like broken pearls. Watching this, Wu Lang could not help but knit her brows.

Though ill-suited for handling such scenes, Wu Lang braced herself and tried to comfort her: "Mother once said that a woman's tears are more precious than any gem in this world. So, don't let them spill so easily."

Yet who could have expected that Qing Mo, who had only been weeping softly, would suddenly burst into loud, unrestrained wails upon hearing those words. Wu Lang, whose efforts were defeated before even taking flight, promptly threw in the towel and simply leaned against the tree to look at the nearby scenery.

Thus, when Han Tianhan rushed over in a frantic hurry, what greeted him was a heartbroken Qing Mo crying her eyes out and a certain woman standing nearby with an exceptionally calm, almost brazen attitude. Han Tianhan strode forward in an instant, grabbed Wu Lang by the collar, and demanded in fury: "You unscrupulous teacher, what did you just do to Qing Mo?"

"Tianhan, you've misunderstood!" Qing Mo didn't even bother wiping the tears from the corners of her eyes, hastily speaking out. If she had been excessively frightened earlier, her subsequent tears were entirely shed out of moving gratitude. Growing up, aside from Han Tianhan, no one had ever shown her such care; overcome with emotion, her tears had poured like rain.

"Qing Mo, you don't need to make excuses for someone like her." Perhaps the woman's first impression was simply too poor, or perhaps Qing Mo had used similar words in the past to excuse the bullies; in any case, seeing it with his own eyes, Han Tianhan was a hundred percent unconvinced.

"No, Tianhan, you really misunderstand!" Qing Mo shook her head repeatedly, reaching out to stop whatever Han Tianhan was about to do next. However, with athletic reflexes virtually approaching zero, she failed to mind her footing in her desperation. Tripping over a stone in the grass, she pitched straight forward, and her intended tug turned into an accidental push...

Because everything happened in the blink of an eye, neither Wu Lang nor Han Tianhan had enough time to react. Even when they ended up pressed flush against each other face-to-face, they still struggled to process what had just occurred.

The other's breath lingered at the tip of her nose, and a soft yet cool touch came from her lips, while that obsidian stud earring sparkled dazzlingly under the sunlight.

At this moment, time seemed to freeze. Gazing at the handsome face magnified infinitely before her eyes, Wu Lang seemed to hear the sound of her own heartbeat...
